From 19th to 20th October, the launching ceremony of International Associated Laboratory (LIA): Zeolites and the first Academic Communication Conference were held in DICP.Director of the National Center for Scientific Research of France (CNRS) , Antoine Mynard, and director of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xiaofeng Lu were invited to attend the meeting. Director of DICP, Academician Zhongmin Liu ,Prof. Svetlana Mintova,Prof. Valentin Valtchev,Prof. Jean-Pierre Gilson and Prof. Mohamad El Roz from Laboratory of Catalytic and Spectrochemical Chemistry(LCS) of French National Scientific Center , Prof. Shilun Qiu from Jilin University, Prof. Zifeng Yan from China University of Petroleum, and more than twenty people attended the meeting.

On the opening ceremony, Prof. Zhongmin Liu welcomed the visiting of all parties. He hoped that through the establishment of the international joint laboratory, China and France could provide effective platform for technological cooperation in molecular sieve. Antoine Mynard and Xiaofeng Lu delivered the welcome speech respectively. They expressed the expectation that the two sides could carry out in-depth cooperation through the platform of International Associated Laboratory(LIA): Zeolites, and achieved fruitful achievements in related fields.

Subsequently, under the witness of the attendees, Zhongmin Liu, Svetlana Mintova and Shiguan Qiu jointly unveiled the nameplate the International Associated Laboratory(LIA): Zeolites.

In the following academic communication activities, participants in the conference introduced their research contents and latest progress in detail, and discussed the short-term and long-term mechanism and content of future cooperation, laying a solid foundation for carrying out practical and effective cooperation as soon as possible.

CNRS is the largest research institution in Europe. Its main task is to carry out academic research and bring back the research results to the society.Now it has 21 Nobel laureates and 12 Fields prize winners.
